How do I quit and uninstall Sparkle from my Mac?

If Sparkle is running in the background and won't quit normally, here's how to fully remove it:


Force quit first:

  1. Open Activity Monitor (search in Spotlight)

  2. Find "Sparkle" in the list and select it

  3. Click the X button and choose Force Quit

Then uninstall:

  1. Open your Applications folder

  2. Drag Sparkle to the Trash

  3. Empty the Trash


If you want to reinstall Sparkle later, download the latest version from makeitsparkle.co.
