Monologue formats your speech automatically based on the app you’re using, so dictation feels natural—almost like the text is typing itself.

Your first recording

The basics

  1. Place your cursor where you want the text to go

  2. Start recording (using your hotkey or the monophone)

  3. Speak normally no need to over-enunciate

  4. Stop recording and your text will appear, already formatted

Quick test

Try saying: “Hello, this is my first recording with Monologue. It’s working perfectly!”

You should see:

Hello, this is my first recording with Monologue. It's working perfectly!

If that works, you’re ready to move on.
