Monologue keeps your recent transcripts accessible so you can quickly grab text you’ve just dictated. You can find them right from the app’s menu bar or use a keyboard shortcut to copy your latest transcription to the clipboard.

Where to Find Your Recent Transcripts

Use the Menu Bar

  1. After Monologue has transcribed your speech, click the Monologue icon in your Mac’s menu bar.

  2. In the dropdown, look for a “Recent Transcripts” section.

  3. Select or copy any recent transcripts you need.

This lets you quickly browse through your latest dictations without leaving your current app.

Quick Copy Shortcut

Monologue also provides a keyboard shortcut to copy the most recent transcript without opening the full history.

  • With any app in focus, press ⌘ Control V (Command + Control + V)

    • This copies your last transcript directly to the clipboard

    • You can then paste it anywhere (Notes, Docs, Email, etc.)

This is especially helpful when you want to reuse recent text without interrupting your workflow. You can also change the default shortcut in Monologue settings.
