Reconnecting your Gmail account

When does "Please reconnect your account" appear?

Cora shows this message when it can no longer access your Gmail. This can happen if:

  • Your organization migrated to a new Google Workspace or domain

  • Your Google Workspace admin changed app permissions

  • You revoked Cora access in your Google account settings

  • Your OAuth token expired after a long period of inactivity

How to reconnect

The fastest fix is to log out of Cora and log back in with the affected Gmail account:

  1. Click your profile icon and select Log out

  2. On the login page, click Continue with Google

  3. Select or enter the Gmail address that needs reconnecting

  4. When Google shows the permissions screen, click Allow for all permissions shown

Within 10 minutes, Cora will start syncing your emails again. Your next scheduled brief will include emails from that point forward.

If your account is managed by a Google Workspace admin

If your email is through a company or university, your IT admin may need to approve Cora in Google Workspace app settings. Ask your IT team to allowlist the Cora app, then try reconnecting.
